Bourgogne Aligoté

• Aligoté is a very old grape variety in Burgundy, and the only one to give its name to the Bourgogne Aligoté appellation.

• Our Bourgogne Aligoté comes from two parcels, one in Auxey-Duresses and the other in Meursault. The parcel in Meursault is 40 years old, bringing the deep fruitiness of an old vine, and the other in Auxey-Duresses has an average age of 10 years, bringing the tension and minerality essential to the Aligoté grape.
• This wine is a perfect illustration of the typical characteristics of the Aligoté grape variety. The color is brilliant, pale yellow with green highlights. The nose reveals aromas of white pear, citrus fruit and fine mineral notes. On the palate, the citrus fruit flavors return, with a lovely freshness that balances out with good roundness and elegant lemon aromas.
• Bourgogne Aligoté is vinified in the same oak barrels used to mature our Chardonnays. These barrels are between 4 and 5 years old, so as not to "wood" the grape variety, and will take 12 months to mature. The wine is aged on fine lees, which are regularly topped up.
• It goes well with Savoyard fondue, raclette, seafood or grilled fish, or simply as an aperitif. Serve at a temperature between 10 and 12°C.
